Terms & Conditions of
Hire
1. Conditions of Hire
1.1 All tools or equipment
will remain the property of Hemel Tool Hire during the agreed hire period
and must be returned to us at the end of the hire period.
1.2 Hemel Tool Hire cannot
be held liable for any loss suffered if the equipment required is not
available to the customer on the required commencement day of the hire
period for any reason beyond the control of Hemel Tool Hire such as
equipment failure or another customer withholding the equipment's return.
1.3 Whilst the equipment
is in the possession of the customer during the hire period, and /or any
extended period resulting from early delivery or late collection,
the customer accepts all risks for personal injury, public liability,
personal liability and / or damage to property related to the use of the
hired equipment.
1.4 Care of the hired
equipment will be the sole responsibility of the customer.
1.5 The customer agrees
not to sell, re-hire or deal with any ownership or interest in the hired
equipment whilst in possession of the equipment.
1.6 Weekends and bank
holidays are not considered exempt from the hire period and will be taken
into account as normal working days.
2. Deposit payment
2.1 Where required the refundable deposit
is payable in advance and will be returned to the hirer in full once the
equipment has been returned to Hemel Tool Hire in its original clean and
undamaged condition.
3. Payment terms
3.1 The hire cost of all
equipment, along with the refundable deposit amount, must be paid in full
prior to the delivery of the items.
3.2 We do not currently
accept payment by credit or debit card, we happily accept cash, cheque or Paypal payments.
3.3 The quoted hire rates,
and any other costs stated on this website or other literature, are not
subject to the addition of VAT.
4. Health & Safety
4.1 Before using the hired
items the hirer agrees to read the Health and Safety guidelines that are
supplied with all equipment and to comply with those guidelines during
use.
4.2 It is the customer's
responsibility to ensure that they, and any person that they allow to
operate any hired equipment, is suitably trained and instructed to operate
the equipment safely and has read the supplied Health & Safety
documentation beforehand.
4.3 Hemel Tool Hire will not be held liable for injury to any person, or
damage to any property, that results in the usage of the
supplied equipment.
5. Return of equipment
5.1 Equipment must be
returned in a clean and undamaged condition. We reserve the right to
retain all or part of the deposit monies to cover the cost of cleaning or
repairing any equipment that is not returned in its original condition.
5.2 If any hired equipment is returned by the customer sooner than was
originally intended then 30% of the cost of the remaining pre-paid hire
period will be refunded to the customer.
5.3 If the equipment is
returned late then the customer will be charged for every day that they
retain the equipment at the appropriate hire rate for the items until such
time as Hemel Tool Hire have regained possession.
